Vad spelar det för roll om ett verk kallas konst eller hemslöjd? "The handicraft aesthetic can justifiably be said to have been in harmony with the aesthetic of the respective period, but this has generally been ignored by us art historians.
The aesthetic of gender difference has not lain in the form of the objects but in the way of organizing handicraft, always separately, first on an institutional level, based on ideological considerations, then at the individual level, based on institutional considerations.
